The Cincinnati Bengals are 3-3 heading into their Week 7 bye week. While the Bengals started slowly and are now back to.500, it’s not all rainbows and sunshine as they enter their week off. Following the Bengals’ 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, head coach Zac Taylor told the media that the number one thing his team needed to improve was scoring points (or the lack thereof).
Zac Taylor: When you look at points scored, that’s what has been dissapointing.
Says it’s the No. 1 thing the Bengals have to get fixed

“When you look at points scored, that’s what’s been disappointing”, Taylor said and he’s not wrong. The Bengals are tied for 27th in the league in points scored, with 16.7, according to Team Rankings. Only the Falcons, Steelers, Patriots, and Giants are ranked lower.
This may appear to be a “Duh” comment from Coach Taylor, but the squad must focus on improving in this area. It’s difficult to win games when your team can’t score, and the Bengals were fortunate that their defense stepped up in the win on Sunday. Otherwise, they’d be 2-4 right now, with little hope of making the playoffs.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor on the offense against SEA: Nobody came out of that thing clean.

The Bengals now have two weeks until they travel to the Bay Area to face the 5-1 San Francisco 49ers. Hopefully, they will make good use of their time and figure out their offense. The timetable just becomes more difficult from here.
